NEX-5n, Treppenstufen in manchen schrägen Linien (Raw, Lightroom)

Hallo zusammen,

ist jemandem im Zusammenhang mit Raw-Fotos aus der NEX, spezifisch der NEX-5N und hier insbesondere in Lightroom bzw. Adobe Camera Raw mal aufgefallen, dass manche harte, schrägen Kanten regelrechte Treppenstufen aufweisen (engl. sogenannte Jaggies, bzw. jagged edges)?

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wo sie herrühren. Ich habe zunächst mal die frische Unterstützung von Lightroom im Verdacht und vermute ein nicht optimal gelöstes Demosaicing. Denn im Sony Image Data Converter treten diese Jaggies so nicht auf (dieses Programm gefällt mir aber von der restlichen Bildqualität und vom Handling her nicht - was noch schwerer wiegt: sie passt überhaupt nicht in meinen LR-zentrischen Workflow).

Auch testweise auf's MacBook geladen und mit iPhoto betrachtet erscheinen diese Jaggies nicht.

Der Link führt zu einem Hirschbild, welches bis zur Originalgröße hochgezoomt werden kann. Schaut auf das Nackenfell.

Adobe LR hat aus meiner Sicht zwar den besten Workflow und Funktionsumfang, aber die RAW Engine, insbesondere das bereits von Dir erwähnte Demosaicing vor allem, soll tatsächlich nicht perfekt sein. Bleibt eigentlich nur die Hoffnung auf ein Update. Die Chance, dass die aktuelle 5n-Konvertierung aus terminlichen Gründen mit heisser Nadel gestrickt wurde und nachgebessert wird besteht ja immerhin.

Kurzes Update zu diesem Thema. Der Einfachheit halber einfach auf englisch. Mal gespannt, was ich im Adobe Forum als Antwort erhalten werde

Didn't report back earlier since I just wanted to wait for the next version of LR. Which not only arrived in terms of LR 3.6 but recently as the new LR 4 beta also. Very welcome additions with the GPS Module, btw Rest looks also very promising.

Alas - not for the Sony NEX-5N. Yet. I hope... ;-)

Why yes, of course I could change the default LR sharpening. But I found no way besides absolute zero values to really get rid of the jaggies. And by doing so, introducing a softness I just found not pleasing, to say the least. Even so, a sharpening later in the process of working with the image would be prone to jaggies on the same areas again.

So, I hoped for LR 3.6. But no changes in that regard.
Then, seeing LR 4 beta I had high hopes. Tested the new process version 2012... but sadly also no difference in rendering those slanted edges.

But while going back and forth between PV2010 and PV2012 I thought, what the heck... and just selected PV2003 (never touched that drop down menu basically since LR 3).
Lo and behold - the jaggies were gone! And the picture looked as good as in PV2010 and 2012 in regard to overall appearance of sharpness, noise and detail.

Now, all I would want is to incorporate the demosaicing or whatever magic is responsible for this from the PV2003 to the PV2012.
